This TV has a great pic. I would recommend this TV to anyone.Very sharp pic. I did my home work first. Decided to choose this one. Worth the money. Amazon had the best price.
I wouldn't buy it unless they redesign the base to something more solid and durable. It's like a luxurious Mercedez Benz using wooden wheels.
It is very bad, and very weak to support the weight of the TV. My base gave in almost immediately after I bought it, and I don't want to put it in a mount wall.
I am very satisfied with the TV in general, but the base stand is extremely poorly designed. I just can't believe how poorly designed the base is.
For the money I paid, this is too much hassle. I had to redesigned the TV base myself.
It does not make sense. Other than that, the TV is great and easy to use.
It's not bad sound, just not high end. The Samsung draws VERY little juice compared to my old Magnavox analog TV.The "touch of color" bezel is interesting, but wasn't a selling point for me. I am not an audiophile, so theater-quality sound is not important to me. I've had it for four months now.I am very pleased with the picture and sound quality. This is my first LCD TV (that I kept). Wish I could remember the brand of that first one, because their customer service was lousy, too. I often run my electronics from an inverter from batteries powered by solar panels. I find the picture is plenty sharp enough without it.I also like the Energy Star rating.
I took THAT one right back. One thing I learned from the cheapo TV is that even though the packaging SAYS the TV is compatible with major satellite TV remotes, this is not always true. It was a bit difficult to get used to the rectangle viewing area instead of the old square type at first, but now I hardly notice it. I read a lot of reviews on several web sites before I bought it. It has a well-designed base pedestal, unlike an el-cheapo I bought from WalMart that kept wanting to fall over. I live in a travel trailer, so I can sit at the right distance from the TV for comfort and best viewing quality. I don't use the HD feature. The cheapo would NOT work with my DirecTV remote no matter what I tried. I would recommend this TV.
I purchased this tv in 2008, nice tv, I like it. I now have to wait until I get an e-label for shipping and send it back again, when they get it they will send me a new one. I get the tv back and it is scratched.
I called Samsung and told them that I wanted a new tv. I call Samsung again and they tell me that they will send me out a new one. After 6 months I had a problem with it.
I hook up the tv and it starts doing the same thing that I sent it it for. Samsung said that "that is not their policy" and told me to send it back for repair. I told them that the tv was going to get banged up in shipping and at the repair factory.
Why didn't they just do that from the beginning. What a major pain.
otherwise, the tv's picture is super sharp and i have no complaints about that. it was advertised as both, depending on where you looked. Samsung LN22A650 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with RED Touch of ColorI researched this tv on samsung's website and others and couldn't figure out if it was actually a 3000:1 ratio or 5000:1 ratio. the sound is horrible.you have to max it out just to get a medium volume, but my previous tv was the same way. i took a chance and paid the extra hundred or so dollars, only to find out it was 3000:1. so why did i pay more money. set up was easy and the touch of color is nice, but not worth an extra hundred. overall, it's a great little 22" tv.probably better than most.
